Police say 1,353 traffic infractions recorded in two days

Under increasing pressure over traffic deaths and the rampage of heavy-duty trucks, the Guyana Police Force today said that that 1,353 traffic cases have been made over a two-day period with tinted glass being the highest single offence.

 

Traffic ranks, led by the Traffic Chief Senior Superintendent Mahendra Singh have been conducting Enforcement Exercises “without bias” across the country, and this has yielded some positive results, a release from the police said.

 

As cases are made, drivers are being made aware of the do’s and don’ts, in an effort to curb lawless/errant use of the road. The following cases were made over a two-day period (November 21 and 22) by each area identified where traffic ranks are stationed:
