Guyana loses to Suriname in men’s and women’s matches

Guyana’s U-17 men’s and women’s football teams went down to Suriname in their respective international encounters yesterday in the Dutch-speaking nation.

The men’s team, which starting XI comprised: Ezekiel Baldeo, Paul Cannings, Dakarai Drakes, Shaquan David, Micaiah De Freitas, Quancy Fraser, Jaden Harris, Malcolm Hendricks, Flavio LaRose, Luke Langevine, and Kemron Pellew, lost 0-2.

The identical defeat was also recorded by the women’s team, which featured a starting XI that comprised: Martha Chance, Aniez De Vair, Tanya De Vair, Sara Ernest, Kimora Edwards, Allia Henry, Lezandra Henrito, Aliya John, Erin Peneux, Britney Poonsammy, and Whitney King.

The tournament is part of both teams preparation for the impending 2025 CONCACAF Men’s and Women’s U-17 Qualifiers.
