Riddim Squad ended their campaign in the Georgetown Football Association Senior Men’s League on a positive note, defeating Eastveldt 3-2 at the National Training Centre in Providence, East Bank Demerara.

Tehani Canterbury broke the deadlock in favour of Eastveldt in the seventh minute. However, the Mocha-based Riddim Squad outfit responded in the form of Kester Alleyne to equalise in the 15th minute. Eastveldt then retook the lead as Reshard Roberts etched his name on the score-sheet five minutes onwards.

Once again, the lead proved to be short-lived as Deshawn Ellis made his presence felt with a 27th-minute strike. The score remained unaltered entering the halftime interval.

While the second half failed to mirror the first period, Dorville Stewart would fashion the game-winner for Riddim Squad, as he found the back of the net in the 90th+2 minute.

Meanwhile, newly crowned champion Pele also ended their event with a victory, as they defeated Camptown via walkover after the latter failed to take the playing area at the stipulated time.
