Batavia and St. John the Baptist recorded impressive victories when the inaugural edition of the Bartica Inter-Primary League continued at the Community Centre ground.
Batavia downed Karrau Creek 2-0 in their first match. Kemron Joseph and Beron Godette netted one goal apiece. In their second fixture, Batavia brushed aside Agatash 3-1. The trio of O’Brian Pollard, Joseph, and Mark Wilson scored for the eventual winner. On target in the loss was Vishal Charles.
Meanwhile, St. John the Baptist dismantled Holy Name 6-2 in their first match. Kristan Chandler and Neymar Edwards recorded respective braces, while Kareem Welcome and Joel DeAndre scored one goal, respectively.
On the other side, Jarel Roberts and Jeremiah O’Selmo scored one goal each. In their second outing, St. John the Baptist defeated Potaro 2-0. Chandler and DeAndre scored one goal, respectively.
In other results, Holy Name and Potaro played to a scoreless affair, while Agatash and Karrau Creek battled to a 1-1 stalemate. Deon Tracey scored for Agatash, while Alvino DeCosta was on target for Karrau Creek.
