Guyana Defence Force (GDF) A and Guyana Police Force (GPF) recorded lopsided wins when the ‘Maid Marian Wheat Up’ Women’s Football Championship commenced today at the Parade Ground.
GDF A thrashed Fruta Conquerors 11-0. Glendy Lewis tallied five goals, while Jalade Trim recorded a helmet trick. Sandra Johnson netted once while an own goal completed the score.
Similarly, the GPF unit arrested the Junior Lady Jaguars 4-0. The quartet of Shontella Greene, Horacia Adams, Amada McKenzie, and Jinelle Edmonson scored one goal, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Junior Lady Jaguars edged GT Kanaimas 1-0. Angel Ramni-ranjin recorded the only conversion. Also, GDF B also bested GT Kanaimas 2-0 following goals from Abioce Heywood and Nikita Wayne.
The event continues at the same venue on December 7th.
