Titleist Marian Academy to battle Waramuri for crown

Defending champion Marian Academy and Waramuri will contest the final of the MVP Sports Girl’s U-11 Pee Wee Football Championship following semifinal wins yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

Marian Academy brushed aside Potaro 3-0. Ella Fernandes opened the scoring in the 16th minute. The lead was then doubled as Haley Haberkorn scored in the 22nd minute. The result was then sealed, as Haberkorn completed her brace in the 30th minute.

On the other hand, Waramuri squeaked past St. John the Baptist 8-0. Attai Harris recorded the only conversion of the contest in the eighth minute.

The winners will face-off at the same venue on December 7th, with the losers competing in the third-place playoff.

Meanwhile, in the 5-8 Positional Plate Section, Stella Maris bested Smith Memorial. Gabreann Thomas and Jada Cranmore scored in the third and 29th minutes, respectively. Similarly, West Ruimveldt dismissed Genesis 3-0 via an Ariel Farley hat-trick in the first, third, and 13th minutes.
