Chris Adams, a 21-year-old chef and crochet designer, has always been passionate about fashion. His fascination began at just seven years old when a fashion book found in his grandmother’s room captivated his attention. The images within helped him understand patterns, which ultimately opened the door to his creative journey as a designer. Among his design interests, crochet stands out as his favourite. Adams finds it both easy and therapeutic, providing a welcome escape from anxiety. Crocheting demands his full concentration, keeping his mind from wandering to darker places.

Though Adams has been crocheting for three years, his passion was temporarily set aside for a year while he focused on earning his culinary qualifications at the Carnegie School of Home Economics. During that time, he discovered how much he missed his creative outlet but knew his priority was becoming a certified chef. His journey in the culinary arts began at 16 when he started preparing breakfast for his late grandfather. Eggs, sausage, and French toast became his signature “classic breakfast,” a small yet significant gesture of care that deepened his connection with cooking.
