Rosignol thrashed Fort Wellington by five wickets to clinch the Region #5 Republic Bank Limited (RBL) Secondary Schools Cricket Championship at the D’Edward ground.

Batting first, Fort Wellington, who were cruising at 143/4, were dismissed for 183. Razam Koobir top scored with 52, while Aslam Mohid and Arif Bacchus were the next best scorers with 43 and 21 runs, respectively.

Eventual player of the match Nathan Karamchand was the primary threat with the ball as he snared an impressive haul of 6-12. In response, Rosignol successfully overhauled the score for the loss of five wickets.

Steffon Khalil led the way with an unbeaten 56 while Kemar Joseph was the next best batsman with 26 runs. Chipping in with 19 runs apiece were Adrian Phagoo and Romel Sukhnanan. Koobir displayed his all-round ability as he snared 3-25.
