Several policemen and women of the Office of Professional Respon-sibility (OPR) were recognised for their dedication during the Department’s 2024 Christmas Luncheon and Awards Ceremony yesterday at the Police Officers’ Mess Annexe, Eve Leary.
In attendance with the Head of the OPR, Deputy Superintendent Elton Baird and his ranks were Deputy Commissioner ‘Administra-tion’ (ag), Ravindradat Budhram; Commander of Region #3, Senior Superintendent Khalid Mandall and Director of Music, Superintendent Matthew Joseph. OPR is the internal investigative unit of the police force.
Those awarded were Inspector Anourudh Bissoon (HQ) who completed 26 cases; Woman Inspector Shenay Castello (Reg. 6) who completed 31 cases; Inspector Chetram Sewsankar (4’C’) who investigated 22 reports; Sergeant Quinn Sandy (HQ) who completed 22 cases involving Spanish-speaking foreign nationals; Sergeant Sean Barker (HQ) who completed 32 cases; Woman Special Sergeant Simone Cato who completed 34 cases; Woman Corporal Marlyn Rhobe (Region #3) who completed 16 cases; Woman Constable Annamaria Hercules (HQ) and Woman Constable Tamika Angel (4’A’).
