Dear Editor,
Is The New Movement (TNM) representative’s refusal to vacate the seat in parliament not a shameful act? Is the refusal not disrespectful to all who supported TNM to bring new politics to Guyana?
Has the TNM condemned its representative for not honouring the agreement with the other parties? Has TNM insisted that its representative behave honourably? Though the current recall rules cannot be relied on in this case, a moral decision to honour the agreement should restore some respect for TNM.
Guyanese need representatives they can rely on. Why should voters continue to put their trust in TNM to keep promises?
Sincerely,
Faiyaz Alli
