ERC T10 Championship
The Guards, Mahdia, and Lil Rams advanced to the semifinal round when the Ethnic Relations Committee (ERC) Harmony T10 Championship continued yesterday at the Queen’s College ground.
The Guards thrashed the Strike Panthers by 95 runs. Batting first, the Guards amassed 175/5 as Sheldon Alexander led the assault with an unbeaten 81 while Richie Looknauth and Daniel Ross supported with 32 and 25 runs, respectively.
In response, the Strike Panthers stumbled to 80/7. Alvin Singh and Vikash Wilkinson scored 21 and 20 runs, respectively, as Christopher Barnwell and Daniel Ross recorded 5-7 and 1-5, respectively.
The Guards then defeated the Organisation by three wickets in their second encounter. The Organization tallied 62/9 after batting first. Ravindra Beharry amassed 19 runs as Kester Hardcourt and Daniel Ross shared 4-12 and 2-14, respectively.
The Guards, in response, ended on 65/7 in 7.3 overs. Ross top-scored 34, highlighting his all-round brilliance.
Meanwhile, the Lil Rams thrashed the Kings by 53 runs. Batting first, the Lil Rams amassed 137/7 as Jonathan Van Lange and Shamar Apple added 59 and 24 runs, respectively. Tariq Farouk tallied 3-15 while Shiloh Adams tallied 2-17.
In response, Kings ended on 84/9. Sachem Singh, Chatham Nauth, and Ryan Latiff scored 15, 15, and 14 runs, respectively. Ganesh Surijpaul was pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-15 while Thaddeus Lovell snared 2-12.
On the other hand, Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) lost to Mahdia by eight wickets. Batting first, CJIA laboured to 64/8 in their allocation. Noel Evelyn and Shakeel Wong tallied 26 and 18 runs, respectively.
Neiland Cadogan snared 3-9 while Floy Joseph supported with 2-7. In response, Mahdia stormed to 67/2 in 5.5 overs. Ricardo Adams smashed 39 while Carlos LaRose contributed 16.
