The provision of health services in Guyana was bolstered with the graduation of 148 students from the New Amsterdam School of Nursing, situated in Region Six – East Berbice-Corentyne.
The ceremony which was held on Monday, was hosted by the Ministry of Health’s Health Sciences Education department, and celebrated the students’ hard work and dedication in three healthcare fields: Professional Nursing, Midwifery, and Nursing Assistant Programmes, a release from the Ministry stated.
Over the past several months, the graduates underwent extensive training to equip them with the skills necessary to deliver high-quality healthcare services across Guyana. As such, their achievement symbolises their perseverance and dedication to serving their communities during a time of growing demand for healthcare professionals.
