As investigations continue into the fire that claimed the lives of a mother and her four children in Number 64 Village, Corentyne, Berbice, police have yet to charge anyone but have confirmed that several persons have been questioned.
Commander, Regional Division #6, Senior Superintendent Shivpersaud Bacchus, has stated that investigations are ongoing, with five individuals questioned so far.
However, no significant leads have been established at this time. The police and the fire service investigators have visited the scene, but the final report from the fire service is also still pending.
