Two men have been arrested after they were found with a .40 round of ammunition, a cellular phone, along with a knife in a haversack on Dennis Street, Sophia, Georgetown. According to reports, Sean Millington, a 48-year-old of no fixed place of abode, and Andel Bovell, a 22-year-old unemployed resident of ‘B’ Field Sophia, Georgetown, were arrested by a mobile police patrol on Friday around 23.50 hours.
Police observed the two men walking together on Dennis Street, Sophia, and acting suspiciously. The ranks approached the men and carried out a search on them during which a .40 round of ammunition was discovered in the left pants pocket of Millington. He was asked if he was the holder of a firearm licence to which he responded in the negative. He was then told of the offence committed, cautioned and arrested.
