Bartica defeated Herstelling Raiders by a 1-0 score-line when the ‘Maid Marian Wheat Up’ Women’s Football Championship continued yesterday at the Parade Ground.
Under wet conditions, Duan Williams recorded the only conversion of the contest, as she etched her name on the score-sheet in the fourth minute.
The event, which is being contested in a seven-a-side format, will conclude on January 4th, 2025. The winner will receive $500,000 and the championship trophy, while the runner-up and third-place finisher will pocket $200,000 and $100,000, respectively, and the corresponding accolade.
