Come next year GEMS Theatre Productions, will premiere a play titled “From Whence We Came – The Chinese Experience”, which is based on research by Scott Ting-A-Kee and scripted for stage by popular playwright, novelist and artist, Harold Bascom.
The play, described as an educational drama, will premiere on January 11th, 2025 at 8:00 pm at the National Cultural Centre, marking the day of Chinese arrival to these shores.
According to a release from GEMS, it is being directed by Ayanna Waddell and stage managed by Esther Hamer. The combo-team is a product of the National School of Theatre Arts and Drama.
