Guyana’s U-17 women’s team recorded a 3-0 victory over their Surinamese counterparts, while the men’s unit battled to a draw in their respective international encounters yesterday at the National Training Centre in Providence, East Coast Demerara.
Following a scoreless first half, Veronica Chatta opened the scoring in the 47th minute. Erin Peneux then doubled their eventual advantage in the 81st minute. The score was then completed in the 90th+2 minute via an Allia Henry conversion.
Meanwhile, in the men’s fixture, Guyana battled to a scoreless draw.
