PMTC ‘Showdown of Champions’
Olympic Kremlin overcame a sizable deficit to defeat Spankhurst to win the feature event at the Port Mourant Turf Club ‘Showdown of Champions’ Horse Meet yesterday.
Trailing by approximately 10 lengths at the start of the race, Olympic Kremlin went into overdrive, piloted by jockey A. Gulart, to storm to what was its third consecutive victory, in the process relegating Spankhurst and Loyal Company to second and third place, respectively. Frontline Warrior ended in fourth place.
In the co-feature event, Ritorna Vincentori overcame the challenge of Oy Vey to prevail by half a length. Stormy Victory and Morning Colours rounded out the top four in that order.
