The Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) Year-End Futsal competition began in spectacular fashion on Sunday night at the Retrieve Hardcourt in Linden, setting the stage for an electrifying tournament.

Four intense matches showcased the best of local football talent, with teams battling for supremacy over the next three weeks and a share of the over $3 million in cash and prizes at stake. The evening began with a nail-biting contest between Top XX and Capital FC, with Top XX emerging victorious 4-3. Rudolph Mcalmont led the charge with a brace, while Ryan Noel and Amanykie Mayers also found the net. Capital FC fought valiantly, with Morty Gittens, Omanan Ramsammy, and Emmanuel Atkins each scoring, but their efforts fell just short.
