The fire that claimed the lives of a mother and her daughter at Westminster, West Bank Demerara, last Friday, was electrical in origin, Fire Chief Gregory Wickham says.
Wickham yesterday told Stabroek News that the investigation has been completed and it has been determined that the fire was electrical in origin.
On December 14, at about 5 am, a fire erupted and destroyed the one-storey house of Felis Smith, a 75-year-old of Lot 3834 Plantation #2 Westminster, West Bank Demerara.
