The Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) yesterday certified MACORP’s Scheduled Oil Sampling (SOS) laboratory under the GYS 170:2021 standard, highlighting the facility’s commitment to precision, reliability, and adherence to international best practices, a MACORP release announced.
GNBS and MACORP, Guyana’s authorised Caterpillar dealer, yesterday signed the terms and conditions of the Certification, after which GNBS presented a certificate and plaque to MACORP’s Administration Manager, Sonia Richard; and Lab Quality Manager, Rodny Jamarillo.
According to the release, this milestone firmly establishes MACORP’s SOS laboratory as a leader in such services across Guyana, strengthening its reputation as a trusted partner to key sectors, including mining, marine, oil and gas, construction, agriculture, and power generation. The GYS 170 certification also demonstrates the laboratory’s alignment with national development goals and global quality standards.
