Noah Beaton, the suspect in Monday’s gruesome murder of Ridley Joseph, Toshao of Tassarene, in Region Seven has confessed to the act.
A police source told Stabroek News that Beaton is from Central Mazaruni but lives in Georgetown. He surrendered to police yesterday and confessed to stabbing Joseph 19 times about his body.
David Joseph, the 62-year-old father of Ridley Jospeh, told Stabroek News last evening that the family immediately travelled to Georgetown after being informed about the murder. David stated that the suspect was not known to the family. The father related that his son was a Toshao and a member of the National Toshaos Council (NTC). He was also a nursing assistant and was expected to graduate yesterday.
