Cricket West Indies (CWI) and Caribbean CAGE have inked a long-term strategic partnership geared towards creating revenue for the development of the sport in the region.
This was confirmed by a press statement from CWI. According to the correspondence, the agreement, which was signed by the president of Cricket West Indies, Dr. Kishore Shallow, and the co-founder and chairman of the CAGE Companies, Robert B. Washington, has received the endorsement of eight CARICOM governments. The correspondence did not name the eight territories but stated that the agreement will “also ensure increased tax revenues for these participating governments.” The partnership comes into effect on April 1st, 2025, and could be the largest commercial agreement inked by CWI based on initial projections.
