Twenty-seven-year-old, Quacy Mercer, of Lot 43 Company Road, Buxton, East Coast Demerara, appeared yesterday before Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court charged with robbery with violence and damage to property.
It is alleged that on Wednesday July 24, at Regent and Camp streets, Georgetown, Mercer caused damage to one iPhone valued at $185,000 belonging to Devon Charles. Mercer plead not guilty to this charge.
Regarding the charge of robbery with violence, it is alleged that on Wednesday July 24, at Regent and Camp streets, Georgetown, Mercer robbed Devon Charles of one gold chain valued at $3,000.
