Javeed Mohammed

(Trinidad Express) A fisherman driving a Range Rover has been gunned down.

Just before 10 a.m., Javeed “Fish” Mohammed, a fisherman, who was said to be from the Aranguez area, was driving his SUV along Rodney Road, Chaguanas, when two gunmen on a motorcycle drove up to his vehicle and opened fire.

This caused Mohammed to veer off the roadway and crash into a wall. The gunmen then escaped.

Police officers transported Mohammed to the Chaguanas District Health Facility, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Officers said they believed that his killing was drug related.

Autopsies are expected to be carried out on the bodies of both men tomorrow at the Forensic Science Centre, Federation Park, St James.
