The Guyana Wildlife Conservation and Management Commission is implementing a project aimed at strengthening the legal and sustainable songbird trade in the country.
A notice in yesterday’s Stabroek News said that the project is being implemented in collaboration with The Consultancy Group.
“The project’s overarching goal is to reduce the illegal and unsustainable songbird trade in Guyana as part of a broader regional strategy to combat wildlife trafficking”, the notice said.
Proposals are being invited from suitable qualified persons to conduct an analysis of the legal framework governing the songbird trade in Guyana.
Detailed terms of reference can be obtained by sending a request to [email protected] or by visiting the Commission’s office located at Ganges Street, Sophia, Greater Georgetown.
Proposals should be submitted no later than January 6, 2025.
