Two men were yesterday jailed for three years each after pleading guilty to theft from Unicomer Guyana Inc on Christmas Eve.
The police said in a statement that Okeria Andrews, a 23-year-old of 34 Princes Street, Lodge and Lloyd Bartholomew, a 22-year-old labourer of 32 Lyng Street, Charlestown, Georgetown, were arrested by police on December 24th, 2024 and charged yesterday with break and enter and larceny.
They appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Dylon Bess who read the charge to them and they pleaded guilty. They were both sentenced to three years imprisonment.
Both men are accused of committing the act on Unicomer Guyana Inc. on December 24, the police said. The police statement did not identity the items that were stolen, their value or if they had been recovered.
