Stabroek Weekend LUCAS STOCK INDEX (LSI) By Stabroek News December 29, 2024 The Lucas Stock Index lost 0.078 percent on the sale of 35,700 shares during the fourth period of trading in December 2024. Four stocks traded during the period with two Climbers and two Tumblers impacting on the market value. As a result, the market lost about G$606M in value. The stock price of Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) rose 3.448 percent on the sale of 600 shares while the stock price of Demerara Bank Limited (DBL) rose 0.635 percent on the sale of 3,100 shares. In contrast, the stock price of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) fell 2.941 percent on the sale of 31,000 shares while the stock price of Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) fell 0.139 percent on the sale of 1,000 shares. The LSI closed at 1,365.131.
