Veteran Guyanese world-rated bantamweight pugilist Elton Dharry brought a sparse crowd to its feet at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Homestretch Avenue on Saturday night with a stunning knockout victory over the previously undefeated Colombian Randy Ramirez.
The explosive finish came two minutes and 59 seconds into the second round of the main event, further cementing Dharry’s status as one of Guyana’s leading boxing talents and moving him a step closer to a world title shot.
The six-round Bantamweight bout was the highlight of the Pro-Am card organised by Elton Dharry Promotions, NexGen Global, and the Guyana Boxing Board of Control.
