Ravens, the University of Guyana (UG) Trojans, and Nets recorded contrasting wins when the ‘One Guyana’ Basketball League continued on Saturday evening at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.
Ravens overcame Masters 63-60 in overtime. Ravens seized a marginal lead at the end of a scrappy first quarter at 9-8. They then increased their advantage in the second period, netting 14 points while reducing their opponent to 11 to enter the halftime break ahead at 23-19.
However, Masters stormed ahead at the conclusion of the third period, netting 13 points while limiting the Ravens offence to a mere four points to enter the fourth stanza in control at 32-27.
