The police yesterday issued a wanted bulletin for Allin Sahoye, 31, a mechanic, in connection with the murder of Saif Ally, a 22-year-old of Lot 22 Block ‘R’, North Sophia, Georgetown on December 27th.
Sahoye’s last known address was given as Lot 130 Downer Canal, North Sophia, Greater Georgetown.
The suspect’s father, Christopher Julian Sahoye, a 58-year-old labourer of North Sophia Squatting Area, told the police that on Friday night, he was standing in an ‘alleyway’ west of his house, when Ally who was known to him for several years, approached him and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The man said that Ally, without provocation, slapped him several times across the face.
The 31-year-old suspect was sitting on a bench in the alleyway. He saw what took place and confronted Ally, resulting in a fight. The suspect then allegedly stabbed Ally in the chest with a knife, causing him to collapse to the ground where he remained motionless. The suspect then fled the scene.
