Defending champion Milerock and Botofago will contest the final of the Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) Futsal Championship tomorrow following semifinal wins on Sunday evening at the Retrieve Tarmac in Linden.

In the first semifinal, Milerock disconnected Winners Connection 9-3. Colwyn Drakes opened the scoring for the Milerock unit.

Their advantage was then doubled as Drakes completed his brace.

A 3-0 score was then realised as Drakes made his presence felt once more to complete his hat-trick. However, the three unanswered goals by Winners Connection restored parity to proceedings.

Anthony Layne etched his name on the score-sheet to reduce the deficit to 1-3. Akeem Caesar then found the back of the net to make it 2-3 entering the halftime interval.

Ronic Velloza completed the brief comeback as he made his presence felt, equalising the contest at 3-3 minutes into the second half.

The aforementioned score-line seemed to ignite the Milerock attack, who recorded six unanswered goals to secure their place in the final.

Jonah Simon slotted past the goalkeeper to commence the blitz while Drakes continued his goal-scoring prowess to make it 5-3.

Mickel Jeffers then got into the scoring act as the score ballooned to 6-3. This was followed by another conversion from Drakes to seal his five-goal haul and push the score to 7-3.

The result was then completed as Kemar McLaren tallied a brace.

In similar fashion, Botofago dismantled Capital FC by an 8-3 score in the other semifinal encounter. The contest was effectively over at the halftime interval as Botofago stormed to a 5-1 lead.

Donovan Francis ignited the scoring blitz for Botofago while Amoniki Buntin doubled their advantage.

Jermaine Mason then got into the scoring act to further strengthen their grip on the contest, with Jamal Bentick also getting into the scoring act. Ronnell Deputan completed the perfect first half for Botofago.

On the other side, Devonte Tappin recorded what proved to be a consolation goal in the half for Capital FC. With a massive lead at their disposal, Botofago tallied an additional three goals in the second period.

The trio of Francis, Bentick, and Buntin scored one goal apiece to complete their respective doubles. On the other side, Dequan Wilson and Isaiah Adams scored one goal, respectively.

The winners will now contest the final at the same venue tomorrow. The losing semifinalists will battle in the third place playoff prior to the championship fixture.

The winner of the tournament will pocket $1,000,000 and the championship accolade, while the second, third, and fourth place finishers will walk away with $500,000, $200,000, and $100,000 apiece and the respective trophy.
