Rising Stars triumphed in the Mighty Ruler Super-8 Football Championship, besting Agatash by a 3-1 score-line in the final at the Bartica Community Centre ground.
The trio of Lebron Mendonca, Ian Gomes, and Kevon Hendricks were on target for the resultant victor. For the loser, Andrew Simmons netted a consolation goal.
With the result, Rising Stars walked away with a cash prize and the championship trophy, while the loser pocketed the runner-up package of a cash prize and the corresponding accolade.
On the individual side, Delon Jones of Rising Stars was adjudged the event’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).
In an earlier exhibition encounter, St. John the Baptist thrashed Potaro Primary 4-0. Aaron Christian tallied a hat-trick while Kareem Welcome recorded the other conversion.
