Work on the Ogle to Eccles road project is 92% complete, according to a release yesterday from the Ministry of Public Works.
The release came after Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill conducted an inspection of the works.
The two-year project which began in June 2022 is scheduled to be completed by January 24 2025.
Some 3.7 kilometers of asphalt paving has been completed. This accounts for 20% of the paving works to be done, the release said. The remaining 80% is scheduled to be finished by the completion date.
Contractor of Ashoka Buildcon Limited, Ramachandar Rao, highlighted the readiness of the company to complete the remaining works in the shortest time possible, the release added.
“We have mobilized all of the remaining material to complete the remaining work in the shortest time”, he stated.
Final works also include the removal of utility lines in the path of the project.
Edghill also inspected works being done on the East Coast Road Widening Project at Cummings Lodge.
