(Trinidad Guardian) Tobago has recorded its first murder for the year, with the victim identified as 15-year-old Beris Joseph, a fourth-form student of Signal Hill Secondary School.
Joseph’s body was discovered on Saturday morning in the Mt. Hay area, located between Patience Hill and Black Rock. Residents reported hearing gunshots overnight, and his lifeless body was later found on the roadway. He was from Golden Lane.
One resident told Guardian Media the child’s mother is in Trinidad and multiple attempts had been made to help the him over the years. The resident believes his death is linked to a shooting, which happened a couple of days ago.
