Come January 25th the National Park will be the scene of musical war when the Empire Media Inc (EMI) hosts its 2025 Armageddon Sound Clash which will see a star-studded line up of disc jockeys from Guyana, Antigua, Jamaica, US and as far as Japan.
This year’s event, which follows others from as far back as 2016, was officially launched on December 22nd, 2024 at Mango Lane, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
According to a release from the company, the lineup includes Kosmik Movements (USA) with Lady Diamond Sunshine, the lone female competitor, returning for her second Armageddon appearance in Guyana after gaining a following in 2024; Stone Wall Sound (Antigua), which was described as a legendary name in the clash industry, renowned across the Caribbean and beyond; Ruff Cut Sound (Jamaica), a veteran in the international clash scene; Artical Pride (Japan), which will be represented by the talented Saturo, whose explosive 2024 debut in Georgetown left fans wanting more, Guyana’s Slingerz Family featuring the dynamic duo “Double M” – Miller 9 and Matic; and Spotlight Sounds, another Guyanese system that will be represented by the versatile DJ Bandit from Linden.
