Some residents in Georgetown yesterday experienced interruption in their electricity supply following an accident on Homestretch Avenue resulting in a Guyana Power and Light (GPL) pole being dislodged.
GPL yesterday advised its customers of the interruption. The power company indicated that its teams were on site and remedial works had commenced. Motorists were also asked to exercise caution when traversing along the roadway.
Meanwhile, GPL customers in sections of Newtown, Georgetown were informed that their service interruption was as a result of a damaged network component. Remedial works are ongoing.
