The Ministry of Public Works has announced a traffic management notice regarding the Railway Embankment Road Expansion Project. As part of the project, teams from Guyana Power & Light Inc. (GPL) will commence utility relocation works along the Railway Embankment, from Industry to Goedverwagting.
To facilitate these operations while ensuring public safety and minimizing traffic disruptions, specific traffic control measures will be implemented at key locations, including the Industry/Ogle Bridge, Ogle Old Road, Airstrip Road, and Clay Brick Road. Beginning Monday, January 6, 2025, traffic control will be actively managed by police officers daily from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM during the course of these essential works.
The affected areas are expected to see increased activities and potential delays, police on site to direct traffic and ensure smooth flow. Commuters are urged to exercise patience and adhere to instructions from traffic personnel.
