After 37 years of dedicated service to the Guyana Police Force (GPF), Woman Inspector L. Harper heads off on a well-deserved retirement, leaving behind a legacy marked by commitment, resilience, and unwavering dedication, a Guyana police release said recently.

Woman Inspector Harper who joined the Force on October 25, 1988, embraced every challenge throughout her distinguished career, with grace and determination, epitomising professionalism and integrity. The release also noted that her contributions not only upheld the principles of Law and Order but also inspired countless colleagues and community members alike.

During her tenure, Inspector Harper worked in various departments within the Guyana Police Force, including Force Control, General Office, Criminal Investi-gations Department, Commander Registry ‘4C’, Operations Room, and stations such as Beterverwagting, Enmore, Sparendaam, and Cove and John. She also served in Finance Department ‘4C’, and the Firearm Section.

Apart from her official duties, Inspector Harper’s journey has been one of personal growth and development. The Force provided her with invaluable opportunities to hone her skills, including mastering the art of public speaking, enhancing her self-esteem and confidence which she embraced as part of her commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.

The Inspector leaves behind a profound impact that will resonate within the Guyana Police Force for years to come and her legacy stands as a testament to the values of service, leadership, and compassion.

According to the release, Senior Superintendent E. Wray, along with members of his administrative team, other ranks, and special invitees, were present to bid her farewell and wish her well in her retirement journey with the hope that it will be filled with well-deserved relaxation, joy, and fulfillment.
