A 32-year-old motorcyclist has been hospitalised at the Suddie Public Hospital following a serious accident where he collided with a Guyana Power & Light (GPL) utility pole on Sunday morning at about 1.15  on the Land of Plenty Public Road, Essequibo Coast.

According to a release from the police the motorcyclist, Mark Simon, sustained a head injury, fractured rib and fractured hip.
