Housing and Water Minister Collin Croal and Susan Rodrigues, Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water yesterday sat down with Public Works Ministers Juan Edghill and Minister in the Ministry Deodat Indar to discuss key aspects of upcoming projects spearheaded by the Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI).
A release from the Housing Ministry said that the projects highlighted were the ‘Supply and Installation of Transmission Mains Along Avenue of the Republic, from Church Street to Hadfield Street’ and ‘Transmission Upgrade from Hadfield Street to Trench Road, Along High Street’. These initiatives may cause temporary disruptions during the execution phase.
The meeting focused on identifying potential challenges and developing strategies to minimize inconvenience to residents while ensuring the projects’ smooth implementation.
Also in attendance were Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Water, Bishram Kuppen; Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Works, Vladim Persaud and team; Deputy Director of Projects at the Central Housing and Planning Authority, Intakab Indarjeet; and a technical team from GWI.
