As part of a joint strategy heading up to the 2025 elections, representatives of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) and the National Front Alliance (NFA) met yesterday to discuss collaborative efforts ahead of the upcoming 2025 General and Regional Elections and to reaffirm the commitment to the APNU coalition, a PNCR release stated.
The PNCR was represented by its Leader, Aubrey Norton, and General Secretary, Sherwin Benjamin, while the NFA delegation was led by its Leader, Cordel Joseph and Shevon Savory-Charkes, Legal Aid Advisor.
One of the items on the agenda was a comprehensive briefing provided by Norton on the work undertaken by the Joint Opposition Parties (JOPs) and their strategic significance in the lead-up to the elections. He emphasised the importance of unity and cooperation among coalition members in addressing common challenges and reinforcing electoral strategies.
The party leader also elaborated on the PNCR’s recent engagements with various political parties, highlighting efforts to foster dialogue and enhance synergy within the coalition. These meetings, he underscored, were vital to building a united front leading into the elections.
Meanwhile, Joseph of the NFA, reaffirmed his party’s commitment to remaining an integral member of the APNU coalition, and expressed confidence in the coalition’s potential to unite and strengthen their positions as they prepare for the electoral process.
According to the release, both parties agreed to collaborate more closely in the coming months. They acknowledged that by working together, they can build a more robust coalition capable of achieving electoral success and addressing the needs of their constituents.
