The Saraswati Vidya Nikethan (SVN) School will be honoured at this year’s Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA). “This is the highest honour conferred on overseas Indians. PBSA is conferred by the Honourable President of India as part of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention on Non-Resident Indians, Persons of Indian Origin or an organisation/institution established and run by the Non-Resident Indians or Persons of Indian Origin in recognition of their outstanding achievements both in India and abroad.” Editor, that a local school was singled out for this great honour should be a moment of great pride for all Guyanese. It is also a testament to the visionary-Pujya Swami Aksharnanda Ji, whose wisdom, perseverance, dedication and determination, created this Institution and made it what it is today. Felicitations to everyone who has contributed to making the Saraswati Vidya Nikethan the success that it is today. May Saraswati Ma continue to bless you all.
