Trinidad lawyer,  husband murdered

(Trinidad Express) An attorney and her husband were found dead, bound and gagged, inside their home in Cumuto last night.

The couple was identified as Kumari Baksh, 60, and her husband, 67-year-old Nasheed Baksh, a law clerk.

Police believe the husband and wife were murdered in a home invasion at Caratal Road.

Initial reports stated that a Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) meter was removed from the property.

Police said the house was ransacked but investigators were unable to say what was taken from the couple’s home.

The incident happened hours after murdered attorney Randall Hector was laid to rest. Hector, 43, was shot dead on December 31, after leaving an Old Year’s Night service at the Stanmore Avenue Church.
