Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Charles Ramson Jr., has reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting rugby development in Guyana, citing recent investments and ongoing efforts to uplift the sport.
His remarks came during an end-of-year press conference on Saturday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall when responding to a question from Stabroek Sport about future plans for an exclusive rugby facility.
Ramson clarified that while an exclusive rugby facility is not currently on the agenda, the government has made strides at the request of the Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) to enhance the existing infrastructure at the National Park, the hub for rugby training and activities.
