LUCAS STOCK INDEX (LSI)
The Lucas Stock Index rose 1.024 percent on the sale of 26,418 shares during the second period of trading in the year 2025. Seven stocks traded during the period with one Climber and three Tumblers impacting on the market value. With a significant contribution from the Climber, the market gained nearly G$8.0M in value.
The stock price of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) rose 6.977 percent on the sale of 3,406 shares. In contrast, the stock price of Caribbean Container Inc. (CCI) fell 2.010 percent on the sale of 865 shares while the stock price of Sterling Products Limited (SPL) fell 0.344 percent on the sale of 26 shares. In addition, the stock price of Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) fell 0.167 percent on the sale of 50 shares.
In the meanwhile, the stock prices of Demerara Bank Limited (DBL), Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) and Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) remained unchanged on the sale of 303; 20,818 and 950 shares respectively.
