A 34-year-old man of Victoria, East Coast Demerara, was chopped to death by his brother during an argument yesterday morning at their home.
According to a police press release, the murdered man is Akeem Prince, 34, and the suspect is his brother, Kareem Prince. Investigations revealed that the brothers were living together in the same house and the murder occurred between 04:00 hrs and 06:30 hrs yesterday, the release said.
The police said that there was an argument between the two brothers and it is alleged the suspect dealt the deceased chops to his head, which may have resulted in his death.
The suspect was arrested and is in custody.
