The Lucas Stock Index fell 0.033 percent on the sale of 19,500 shares during the first period of trading in February 2025. Seven stocks traded during the period with one Climber and two Tumblers impacting on the market value. The impact of the Tumblers caused the market to lose about G$252M in value.
The stock price of Caribbean Container Inc. (CCI) rose 0.515 percent on the sale of 2,000 shares. In contrast, the stock price of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) fell 0.217 percent on the sale of 13,309 shares while that of Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) fell 0.167 on the sale of 99 shares.
In the meanwhile, the stock prices of Demerara Bank Limited (DBL), Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL), Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) and Sterling Products Limited (SPL) remained unchanged on the sale of 230; 1,441; 2,391 and 30 shares respectively.
The LSI closed at 1,358.046.
