A 26-year-old seamstress was granted $80,000 bail on Tuesday by Magistrate Rondel Weever after she pleaded not guilty to the charge of obtaining money by false pretence.
According to a police release, Uriana Scott of Lot 88 David Rose Street, Bagotville, West Bank Demerara was arrested on February 4th 2025 and charged following an investigation of an alleged computer-related fraud (obtaining money by false pretence) committed on Marvin Peters on 2nd February 2025 at Patentia, West Bank Demerara.
The matter was adjourned for 5th March 2025 for statements to be filed and fixture.
