The Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) was alive with excitement as golfers and spectators gathered for the ANSA McAL Pre-Mash Golf Tournament on Saturday last. The annual event, in its second edition, once again delivered a display of skill, sportsmanship, and camaraderie.
Seasoned golfer Avinash Persaud delivered a masterclass on the greens, securing the championship with a remarkable Gross 69, Handicap 3, Net 66. His precision and expertise left audiences in awe as he dominated the competition. Persaud’s outstanding performance also earned him both the Best Gross and Longest Drive awards, solidifying his status as the standout player of the tournament.
Hot on Persaud’s trail was Sheldon Davis, who put forth a strong effort with a Gross 91, Handicap 24, Net 67. Meanwhile, the ever-consistent Bridgelall Harry secured third place with a Gross 83, Handicap 14, Net 69.
Adding to the excitement of the day, Patrick Prashad was recognized for his precision and flair, taking home the Nearest to Pin and Best Dressed accolades.
LGC President Anasha Ally expressed deep appreciation to ANSA McAL and all participants, emphasizing the tournament’s vital role in fostering community spirit and promoting the sport.
